1. Built-in RJ-45 connectors for serial ports allow the Netra T1 server to be connected easily without adapters. A standard straight through Category 5 cable can be used (null modem cable no longer needed). See technical reference above.

2. Netra[TM] T1 105 RJ45 - RS232 serial converter cable. SUN part number 530-2889-01. See technical reference above.

  Uses: Console terminal. No modems.
  Note: Use this 7 pin DB25 adapter. Other adapters with fewer
 pins will not work.

3. On a SparcStation 4/20 (SLC), a modem installed on ttyb has problems, usually related to DTR. See technical reference above.

  Note: Install a modem on ttya, and perhaps a printer on ttyb.
 Port B is asynchronous only.
