Tips
Disk Drive & Sled
  • Improved firmware for Seagate 10K.6 disk drives will reduce the incidence of unexpected outages due to a spindle motor issue (FIN I1136-1).
  • SCSI Timeout Values may be set too low resulting in intermittent timeouts due to arbitration, retries, or bad block reallocation (FIN I1058-1).
  • Seagate Cheetah 7 FC-AL and SCSI disk drives with serial numbers below 60000 are experiencing a higher than expected failure rate due to a spindle motor issue (FCO A0239-1).
  • Issues with Sun StorEdge 3510 FC controller and JBOD FC cables may result in Amber LED for controllers or drives. (FCO A0237-2)
I/O Contoller Modules
  • Write performance and specifically Sequential write for Sun StorEdge 3310, 3510, 3511 Storage Array is diminishing when both controllers are installed (FIN I1150-1).
  • Fix for battery expiration issue of Sun StorEdge 3510 is now available through new SCCLI (1.6.2) (FIN I1078-1).
  • New 3.27R firmware for Sun StorEdge 3510 FC Array provides enhanced CLI capabilities and functionality with StorADE (FIN I1078-1 ).
  • A small number of Sun StorEdge 3510 FC Array Controller FRUs may contain defective firmware (FIN I0953-1).
  • Issues with Sun StorEdge 3510 FC controller and JBOD FC cables may result in Amber LED for controllers or drives. (FCO A0237-2)
