Component
Tips
Battery
  • Battery FRUs, Controller FRUs and Controllers installed in Sun StorEdge 3310 SCSI Arrays may be missing a battery label showing the manufacture date of the battery (FIN I0929-1).
Controller Module
  • Write performance and specifically Sequential write for Sun StorEdge 3310, 3510, 3511 Storage Array is diminishing when both controllers are installed (FIN I1150-1).
  • Monitoring SE3310 arrays using StorADE can cause performance degradation (FIN I1068-1).
  • 3310 SCSI Array were shipped to the Field with the "Controller Unique ID" set to a non-zero value. This could cause incorrect device identifiers and an incorrect MAC Address to be presented to the host system when these FRUs are installed into an array (FIN I0902-1).
  • Battery FRUs, Controller FRUs and Controllers installed in Sun StorEdge 3310 SCSI Arrays may be missing a battery label showing the manufacture date of the battery (FIN I0929-1).
  • Instructions for resolving EMI gasket issue during replacement of I/O Module FRU on Sun StorEdge 3310 SCSI Array (FIN I0937-1).
Disk Drive
  • SCSI Timeout Values may be set too low resulting in intermittent timeouts due to arbitration, retries, or bad block reallocation (FIN I1058-1).
  • Seagate Cheetah 7 FC-AL and SCSI disk drives with serial numbers below 60000 are experiencing a higher than expected failure rate due to a spindle motor issue (FCO A0239-1).
I/O Modules
  • Instructions for resolving EMI gasket issue during replacement of I/O Module FRU on Sun StorEdge 3310 SCSI Array (FIN I0937-1).
Power Supply / Fan Module
  • Sun StorEdge 3310 SCSI Array DC Power configuration does not conform to NEBS Level 3 and FCC Class B specifications (FCO A0211-1).
