and the Keyswitch is in the Normal or Diagnostic position
and the PROM_SB_WE_N signal is software enabled

Notes

  1. The minimum operating system is Solaris 8 7/03 or Solaris 9 12/03.
    See InfoDoc 77830 for information on required patches for Solaris 8 and 9.
  2. Motherboard 501-6910 replaced 501-6344 in September 2004. (WO_29866)
  3. Motherboard 501-6910 requires ALOM >=1.5.

Memory Notes

  1. Bank, Rank, DIMM, and XOR Interleaving is supported.
  2. UltraSPARC IIIi supports single bank and dual bank DDR DIMMs.
  3. Two DIMMs of the same bank size (single or dual) and memory size form a bank.
  4. The minimum requirement is two DIMMs in any Bank (B0/D0/D1 or B1/D0/D1).
  5. Memory error reporting identifies a failing Bank, not a single failing DIMM.

Motherboard Notes

  1. The Motherboard FRU includes Tray 340-7996, Motherboard 501-6344, Rear LED Extension Cable 530-3309, and CPU/Memory Shroud 540-5285.
  2. The CPU/Memory Shroud holds Tomatillo heatsinks at U1501 and U2601 in place.
  3. Master Tomatillo interfaces include the ALOM Slot, Ethernet 1, Flash PROM, I2C, ATA-100, PCI Slots 0, 1, and 3, SCSI, Serial B, Serial PROM, Smart Card Reader, TOD, and USB 0-3.
  4. Slave Tomatillo interfaces include Ethernet 0, and PCI Slots 2, 4, and 5.
