Owned, Operated and Developed by Craig Dewick since 1997!

Welcome to The Sun Shack - a 100 percent wholly-Australian owned public-domain Sun Microsystems (and compatible equipment) data and information web site.

The aim of this site is to provide a resource for unusual or otherwise hard-to-get information on Sun Microsystems and related clone systems hardware and software.

All information at this site is free. It is my belief that to be a high-quality archive site, all the information has to be available to everyone. Sun Microsystems does not agree, and you'll see why on the SunShack legal jumble page. You might like to consider making a donation to help keep this site operating completely free of charge in the public domain!

The SunShack is proudly hosted by the Sydney region of the Australian Public Access Network Association who are Australia's longest-established non-profit Internet and inter-networking organisation (established in 1993). If you would like to make a donation to help defray the costs of running this site and also to help support non-profit Internet services in Australia, please check below.

The SunShack is an independent, public domain website located in Sydney, Australia and has absolutely no connection with Sun Microsystems Inc. in the USA, or with Sun Microsystems here in Australia. All information is provided here entirely free of charge with no warranty or guarantee of any kind. Please read and familiarise yourself with our full legal statement if you're unsure of your rights and responsibilities before using any of the information presented here.

If you're looking to buy or sell any surplus and/or preloved Sun Microsystems equipment, you might like to check out Sun Ripened Kernels. SRK is a small operation that I run to help out people who would like to buy or sell used Sun equipment here in Australia. Please note that because of the APANA's prohibition of commercial use, SRK's pages reside on a non-APANA machine.
